What this is
Kidchatter gives a child a few minutes of speaking practice a day with an AI voice, and sends their parent a short report. It is a practice tool, nothing more.
What this is not
It is not speech therapy, treatment, or a diagnosis. It does not assess, screen for, or treat a speech, language, developmental or mental health condition, and it is not a substitute for a speech-language pathologist, a doctor, or a teacher. If you are worried about your child’s speech or development, talk to a professional. Nothing in a daily report should be read as a clinical opinion.
Who may use it
An account belongs to a parent or legal guardian. You must be eighteen or older, you must be the parent or guardian of the child who will use it, and you agree to the privacy policy on that child’s behalf before they can sign in.
You are responsible for keeping the access code and the parent code to yourself, and for what happens under your account.
The AI, honestly
The voice and the tutor are AI models. They are good at this and they still get things wrong — a tutor can state a fact that is not true, and a voice can say something you would not have chosen. There is no promise that every reply is accurate or appropriate.
Kidchatter is designed for a child to use near a parent, not unsupervised for hours. If you see a reply you are unhappy with, send it to hello@kidchatter.com — that is how this gets better.
Things not to do
- Share your access code with people outside your household.
- Use the service to generate or seek out content that is harmful or unlawful.
- Try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, or resell access to it.
Stopping
You can stop at any time. Withdraw your agreement on the parent settings page and your child’s sign-in stops working immediately; delete the records there and they are gone. We may suspend an account that is being used in a way these terms forbid, or close the service down — if that happens you will be told, with time to get your records first.
The legal part
The service is provided as it is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot legally be limited.
If a term changes in a way that matters, you will be asked to agree again before your child carries on.
